Te Mahi Tūranga | About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Administrator to join our Whānau Resilience team based in Whakatāne. This is a new part-time role of up to 35 hours per week where you will support Te Pou Mareikura o Whānau Resilience and the wider social services team to ensure smooth operations, efficient administration, and the effective delivery of services for whānau.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing calendars, meetings, travel, room bookings, catering, minutes, and maintaining organised digital systems.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and preparing documents and reports to a high standard.
  • Supporting day-to-day operations, including supplies, purchase orders, IT requests, and general office needs.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners such as contractors, suppliers, and professional services.
  • Supporting audits, reviews, health & safety, and incident management processes.
  • Contributing to quality, risk management, and organisational compliance.
  • Supporting kaupapa Māori practices by helping embed our model of care Te Pou Mataaho across service delivery and team culture.

Ōu Pūkenga | Your Strengths

You’re an experienced, values-driven administrator with a background in social services and strong interpersonal skills. You’re professional with proven experience in handling information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.

You bring:

  • Excellent communication, relationship, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong report writing, planning, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A basic understanding of Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga and the ability to work in culturally responsive ways.
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to positive outcomes for whānau.
  • A certificate in Business Administration or equivalent skills/experience is desirable but not essential.
